At LESW Case Consulting, I work alongside lawyers to make sure kids going through tough legal situations are truly heard and cared for. With a background in both social work and law, I help bring a fuller picture of what children need—emotionally, developmentally, and within their families. My goal is to support legal teams in making decisions that are not only legally sound, but also kind, thoughtful, and grounded in what’s best for each child. Because when kids are represented well, everything changes.
I’m here to support you and your family—not to judge you. My job is to understand what’s going on, how things got here, and what might help.
That might mean helping with transportation, working through school issues, or sharing your concerns with your GAL (your lawyer). I talk with them often and give input based on what I’ve learned from you.
You’ll see me at least once a month while your case is open, and we’ll talk more if needed. I’m here to listen, help, and work with you to find real solutions.
Having a Legally Educated Social Worker (LESW) on your team can make a big difference—but it’s still a new idea, and many attorneys haven’t heard of it yet. That’s okay.
If you think my support could help, the first step is to talk to your guardian ad litem (GAL) or attorney and let them know. You can ask them to reach out to me directly or visit my website to learn more about what I do.
Here’s how they can get in touch:

When you speak with your GAL, you might say something like:
"I heard about someone called a Legally Educated Social Worker who helps support kids and families during court cases. Could we contact them and see if they can join my team?"
Once your GAL or attorney connects with me, we’ll figure out if it’s a good fit and how I can best support your case.
